{"id":100,"date":"2017-01-18T02:46:47","date_gmt":"2017-01-18T02:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eatingforrealblog.wordpress.com\/?p=100"},"modified":"2017-01-18T02:46:47","modified_gmt":"2017-01-18T02:46:47","slug":"making-a-difference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hopeinthemess.com\/?p=100","title":{"rendered":"Making a difference"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>&#8220;Good people have good things in their hearts&#8221; Matthew 12:35<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-302\" src=\"https:\/\/eatingforrealblog.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/img_4892.png\" alt=\"IMG_4892\" width=\"1334\" height=\"750\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I love reading anything written by Max Lucado.\u00a0 His words are so inspiring.\u00a0 He will also make you think about things in a different way.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I was reading the <i>Grace for the moment daily devotional Bible\u00a0 <\/i>tonight and came across a great reminder of how important it is to keep my eyes on the prize.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center\"><strong> Matthew 12:35 tells us that good people have good things in their hearts.\u00a0 This is such a simple verse but yet so often we make things so complex.\u00a0 We describe people by outward appearances and accomplishments or failures.\u00a0 It is clear however that Jesus is not concerned with such matters.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;Good people have good things in their hearts&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Plain and Simple.\u00a0 Good people\u00a0= good in heart.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I spent so much time while I was stuck in my eating disorder thinking that I needed to hide because I was not worthy.\u00a0 I have met countless other women that either held or still hold these beliefs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Our society describes good people as having these very unachievable characteristics, most of which are focused on earthly treasures.
